USAGE-ONLY PRICING

Pay only for what you use

No platform fee. No per-seat fee. No monthly minimum. You pay only the AI-intelligence cost of the work you actually do — and you see the price before each action runs.

What firms actually pay

  • Solo practitioner (1 active matter)£3-10/month
  • Barrister (8 active matters)£10-30/month
  • Solicitor firm (3 people, 15 matters)£20-60/month
  • Corporate team (active transaction)£30-100/month
  • In-house team (5 people)£40-120/month

Two billing models, one usage-only principle

Firms are billed monthly via Stripe metered usage. Solo and individual accounts use a pre-paid wallet. Both pay only for the AI work they actually run.

For firms

Metered, billed monthly

Solicitors, barristers, corporate teams and in-house counsel. Connect billing details once; usage is metered across the team and aggregated into a single Stripe invoice every month. No subscription. No per-seat fees. No minimum.

  • Cost shown before every AI action runs
  • Per-user, per-matter, per-module usage breakdown
  • HMRC-compliant Stripe invoice with VAT
  • Cancel any time — pay only for usage already incurred

For solo & individual accounts

Pre-paid wallet

Top up your wallet whenever you're ready to use AI features. £5 minimum. AI features pause when the wallet runs out — no overdraft, no surprise bills.

  • Cost shown before every AI action runs
  • Optional auto top-up for uninterrupted service
  • No subscription, no card required to sign up
  • Wallet balance and usage visible at all times

Example monthly costs

Indicative only. Actual cost scales with document volume, the depth of AI analysis you run, the number of matters and users on your account, and any integrations enabled. Larger firms and corporate transactions sit at the upper end; usage-only pricing means you pay only for the work the team actually does.

Frequently asked questions

What if I stop using Serverity?
You stop paying. Your data stays accessible (storage cost only). There are no cancellation fees or minimum commitments.
How do I control what I spend?
Every AI action shows its cost before you run it, and you can set per-action confirmation thresholds and per-matter budgets so larger jobs always require explicit approval. Firm dashboards show real-time usage by user, matter and module; every monthly Stripe invoice is itemised.
What happens if a Consumer wallet runs out?
AI features pause. The user can still view all their matters, documents and existing analysis. Top up any time to resume. (Wallet billing is for Consumer accounts only — firms are billed metered post-paid via Stripe.)
Is VAT included?
Prices shown exclude VAT. VAT at 20% is added to monthly invoices. All invoices are HMRC-compliant.
How do I pay?
Firms: connect a payment method once; usage is metered across the team and billed monthly via Stripe. No subscription. Consumer accounts: top up a pre-paid wallet via card payment, with optional auto top-up. Minimum top-up £5.
Is the platform the same for all roles?
Your role determines which dashboard, navigation, and workflows you see. Consumer users see a simplified interface focused on their personal situation. Solicitors and barristers see professional tools. Corporate and in-house users see deal tracking and entity management.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Data is stored in the EU and processed in compliance with UK GDPR. AI analysis is performed by Anthropic and OpenAI under Data Processing Agreements — they do not use your data for training. See our security and sub-processors pages for full details.
