AI-ASSISTED PREPARATION FOR BRIEFS AND HEARINGS
Brief preparation, sourced and cross-checked, ready for the analysis you came to do.
Serverity ingests the brief, builds the chronology, maps the issues, verifies the authorities against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law, and produces a first-pass skeleton with the cross-check pass already applied. Judge intelligence, cross-examination preparation and witness gap analysis are built around your firm's own appearances, not a generic database.

What your papers become
From raw brief to structured case materials.
What ships to you
Skeleton argument
Filing-formatted .docx, paragraph-numbered, ready for counsel review.
Chronology
Every date source-linked back to the page it came from.
Authority bundle
OSCOLA-formatted, verified against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law.
Brief ingestion
Upload a paginated bundle PDF. Serverity detects the index, splits it into documents, and classifies each one.
Chronology extraction
Designed to pull dates from every uploaded document and source-link each entry back to the page it came from. Counsel reviews the chronology before it leaves chambers.
Authority verification
Statutory references and case citations are verified against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law during analysis. Repealed, amended or overruled authorities surface as flags for counsel review — not silent corrections.
Professional Word output
Filing-formatted .docx with paragraph numbering, footnotes, and formatting presets per court level — subject to counsel review before filing.
Structured quality review
AI-generated outputs are run through an automated review pass that flags unsupported assertions, missing authorities and procedural risks for counsel review before delivery.
Fee tracking
Built-in timer per matter, fee notes, and monthly summaries.
One system drafts. A second pass cross-checks.
Drafts are cross-checked against the source documents and the cited law before they reach you.

Built for how barristers actually work
Client portal
For public access work — clients upload documents through a secure link. No more chasing PDFs over email.
Brief summary
One-page structured case overview generated from your papers. Conference prep in 60 seconds.
Advice and opinion templates
Advice on merits, opinion on point of law, conference notes — structured templates pre-populated from your case materials.
Court-level formatting
Paragraph numbering, court headers, and citation formatting tailored to the tribunal or court you're appearing in.
BEYOND THE BRIEF
What the platform does once the skeleton is drafted.
The chronology, skeleton and authority pack are the start. These are the deliverables that come with them — for conference, cross-exam, and the day in court.
Judge intelligence
Cross-matter view of judges, their judgment patterns and cited authorities. Built from the firm's own appearances — not a generic database.
Cross-examination prep
Witness-by-witness question banks structured around the contested facts. Linked to the chronology, the documents and the witness statement gaps.
Devil's advocate report
Every skeleton and opinion goes to a separate review pass that hunts contradictions, weak authorities and hostile counter-arguments. The report comes to you with the draft, not after it.
Witness gap analysis
The chronology and the witness statements are reconciled. Gaps and contradictions are surfaced as questions to put to witnesses or facts to plead around.
Outcome prediction
Indicative outcome bands based on the firm's prior matters at the same court / cause of action. Modelled, not promised — but useful in conference.
Hearing prep pack
Court formatting, paragraph numbering, authority bundles, position summary, key dates. Generated as one Word document, ready for chambers.
Questions chambers ask
Does Serverity replace my legal research subscription?
No. Serverity sits alongside your research databases — it processes the brief itself (chronology, issues, authorities check, skeleton draft) and links to your existing research subscriptions where you have them.
What about my chambers' procedure rules and forms?
Court-form coverage is N1, N244, N260, ET1, C100, D8, PA1P with more in active development. Procedure-rule-pack coverage includes E&W and Scotland; chambers-specific templates can be added.
Is the cross-check independent?
It's a separate model pass against the source documents and the cited law. It is NOT human-independent; treat it as an automated reviewer, not a second silk.
What about LPP?
Your matter data is never used to train AI models. Privileged documents stay scoped to the matter and are not shared with other organisations. Anthropic's API terms explicitly prohibit training on customer data.
How do I get my brief in?
Upload a PDF bundle. Serverity classifies the contents and extracts the chronology so you don't have to pre-sort. Counsel reviews the result before it leaves chambers — automated assembly, not autonomous output.
Usage-only. Pay per use.
No platform fee · No per-seat fee · No minimum
If you save 3 hours on a single brief this month, the modelled cost has paid for itself comfortably over.
