PRACTICE MANAGEMENT, REBUILT AROUND AI-ASSISTED WORK

One system for everything a fee-earner does — built around AI-assisted preparation, not retrofitted around it.

Built around the AI-assisted preparation fee-earners actually do: chronology engine, authority verification against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law, bundle assembly with filing-compliance checks, and a cross-check pass on every draft. Source-linked end to end. A complete alternative to legacy practice management systems.

Built into every matter

  • AI-assisted chronology, sourced to the page it came from
  • Authority verification against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law
  • A cross-check pass on every draft before it reaches your desk
  • Client and office ledgers with SRA-aligned discipline

The numbers that matter

Manual chronology from 200 pages4-6 hours
Serverity-assisted chronology from 200 pagesMinutes (paralegal review thereafter)

At an indicative paralegal rate of £20–£45/hour and Serverity's usage-only pricing, the modelled payback is typically within the first matter analysed each month. Set your own assumptions on the ROI calculator.

Usage-only pricing. No platform fee. No per-seat fee.

What your team gets

Built to recover billable hours on the preparation work — not to replace your fee earners' judgment.

AI-assisted chronology from uploaded documents

Dates extracted, sources linked, parties identified — each entry traceable back to the page in the source document. Your paralegal reviews and refines instead of building from scratch.

Issue extraction with evidence-gap mapping

Legal issues identified from the documents. Evidence gaps and contradictions are surfaced for resolution rather than papered over.

Authority verification against live official sources

Statutory references and case citations are checked against legislation.gov.uk and Find Case Law. Repealed, amended or overruled authorities are flagged for your review.

Drafts produced with a cross-check pass

Skeleton arguments, witness statements and position statements are drafted and then cross-checked in a separate pass — flagging contradictions, weak citations and gaps before output reaches your desk.

Hearing bundle assembly

Hearing bundles assembled, paginated and indexed. Pre-filing checks for missing pages, unsigned statements and formatting errors. Ready for your fee earner to sign off before filing.

Filing compliance checks

Catches missing pages, absent signatures, incorrect citations and formatting issues before filing. Reduces the risk of rejection or adjournment. Procedural rule coverage continues to expand.

Practice management system

Everything your firm runs on, in one platform

Most practice management systems were built for the pre-AI era. Serverity is a full PMS — matter management, time billing, trust accounting, intake, conflicts, AML, document management, court forms and reporting — rebuilt from the ground up around AI-assisted preparation and source-linked cross-checking. Switch from your existing practice management system, or run Serverity as your firm's primary system from day one.

Matter management

Open, track and close matters with structured workflows by practice area. Each matter carries chronology, issues, parties, documents, deadlines and an immutable audit trail.

Time billing

Time recording, fee notes, cost budgets and billing schedules. Multi-currency support. Direct integration with the case-prep work so billable hours are captured at source.

Trust accounting

Client and office account management with SRA-compliant ledger discipline. Bank reconciliation, transfers, statutory client-money rules built in. Your COLP/COFA owns sign-off; the audit trail is automatic.

Client intake, AML & conflicts

Structured onboarding from the first contact: AML/KYC checks, cross-matter conflict screening, fee arrangements and AI-drafted engagement letters — all logged before a matter is opened.

Document management

Centralised, searchable, version-controlled, encrypted at rest. Every document is source-linked into the AI extraction so dates, parties and clauses trace back to the page.

Reporting & insights

Matter health, fee-earner utilisation, outcome patterns by practice area, opponent intelligence and partner-level dashboards. Built in — not bolted on.

The AI-native difference. Where legacy systems bolt AI on top of a 20-year-old PMS architecture, Serverity was rebuilt around source-linked extraction and a cross-check pass on every output. Every field in the matter file is traceable to its source — every claim is reviewable against its evidence by default.

AML / KYC and trust-accounting modules align with SRA requirements; your firm's COLP/COFA continues to own regulatory sign-off.

Beyond case prep

Everything else your firm runs on

Case preparation is the most visible part of the platform, but it sits inside a wider operating system for the firm. The same source-linked discipline runs through each of these.

Workflow engine

Standardise how every matter is handled. Workflow templates per practice area, with quality gates that block file-closing if a required step is missing.

Opponent intelligence

A cross-matter view of opposing solicitors, judges and expert witnesses. Outcome patterns by practice area, drawn from your firm's own concluded matters.

Voice & call capture

Record client calls, transcribe attendance notes and surface action items — captured at source so billable time and follow-ups don't get lost.

Word add-in

Drafting and review without leaving Word. The same source-linked verification pass runs on every saved document.

Schedules of loss & costs

Quantum schedules built from the chronology. Scott schedules for trial, costs schedules for assessment — structured, not freehand.

Marketing hub

Firm website, LinkedIn campaigns, content articles and lead capture — your inbound plumbing in the same platform that runs your matters.LinkedIn campaigns, email deliverability and directory submissions require firm-side credential setup at activation — see Settings → Marketing once your account is provisioned.

How it fits into your practice

Paralegal uploads

Client documents uploaded to the matter. No sorting required — the system classifies and processes everything.

System prepares

Chronology built, issues mapped, authorities checked, drafts produced and cross-checked in a separate pass — within minutes.

Fee earner reviews

The preparation is done. Your solicitor or associate reviews the structured output, refines as needed, and proceeds with the case.

The expensive preparation work is automated. Your team focuses on the judgment calls that require a human.

Questions firms ask

Can we migrate from our existing practice management system?

Yes. The CSV importer maps matters, clients, time entries, ledger and documents from your existing PMS. You can run side-by-side until you're ready to cut over.

Are you SRA-aligned for client money?

Trust accounting follows SRA Solicitors Accounts Rules 2019 (Rules 2 / 4 / 5 / 8 / 12). Your COLP/COFA owns sign-off; Serverity provides the audit trail underneath.

What does "Aligned to SRA Rules" mean for trust accounting?

The ledger model follows SRA Solicitors Accounts Rules 2019 (Rules 2 / 4 / 5 / 7 / 8 / 12). It does not yet ship every operational feature competitor PMSs have around third-party managed accounts (Rule 9), automated 5-week overdue detection cron, or encryption-at-rest on stored bank-account numbers — those are on the roadmap. Your COLP/COFA owns sign-off; Serverity provides the audit trail underneath.

What about Lexcel?

Activity logs, attribution, and matter-state history align with Lexcel record-keeping expectations. We don't claim a Lexcel certification — that's the firm's, not the platform's.

Does it run alongside my existing PMS?

Yes — many firms run Serverity alongside their existing PMS during transition, or use Serverity as the AI layer over it until they choose to consolidate.

What's the data residency?

AWS eu-west-2 (London). TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest. UK GDPR + Data Protection Act 2018 compliant.
